When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

Alternate title: ONOZ THEY BE TRYIN TO STEALZ MAH GUITAR!!!
Cass, I honestly think they just want to hear you play. What would a bunch of unusual creatures and pixy hamsters do with a guitar anyway? ...or he could be hallucinating. I really really should've taken a look at all of the established strange critters of Menagerie but I didn't, though what I did draw was definately strongly influenced (it really wouldn't surprise me at all if pixy hamsters were somehow related to dream mice). Mostly I wanted to draw that Wilbury fella and once I had him it was just a bunch of furious scribbling to get a background and Weird Things for him to look at. For *ioyousbook's Menagerie contest! I am desperately in love with that wall. A happy accident (did I just learn how to dry brush? I may have!) that unfortunately also revealed that my brown watercolor actually has this strange muddy green underneath it rather than just going all the way down to the plastic and now I'm pretty much out of brown. Woe. This is probably THE sign that I should go and buy a better set of water colors. Trouble! |

Now I want to write a story about Cass wandering around in Province or Avignon or the North Coast or something, feeling sorry for himself and trying to avoid fairies and generally being a mess.
(the wall, yes, it is much awesome. Also hahahaa pixie hamsters I want one. And that fiery-colored critter is AWESOME. I'm slightly a sucker for things with heads on their tails.)
Thanks so much for entering!
